Second, It's been a while since I've posted a new journal, so here's what's going on with me. In May of 2016 I learned that Intel, the company I worked for, was closing its St. Paul office at the end of the year. I was asked to relocate to Portland, Oregon, or be laid off. I chose to be laid off and I took a pretty sweet severance package. So I've been out of a job since the end of December. I've been looking and applying for new jobs but I haven't gotten anything promising yet.

In the mean time I've been doing art, skiing, teaching myself how to snowboard (I took a lesson this past weekend which helped immensely), and going to/helping teach karate class. So I haven't been a complete slacker, right??

I had a pretty good year in 2014 for submitting stuff to DA. I'd like to keep up that pace, or even exceed it, for 2015.
I've been meaning for a long time to do art of some of my characters, but I keep putting it off. I've decided that if I finish any character art, I will treat myself to commissioning someone to draw/paint that character, depending on pricing.

For the past few days I've been downhill skiing at Killington in Vermont. I've taken some pretty sweet pictures and I hope to have them uploaded soon.

I haven't updated my journal for over two years so I guess I'm overdue.

Like always, I am very slow at art, but I have a few projects I'm working on that might get finished and appear on deviantart in the next few months. Maybe.

I bought the super duper extended membership on sale and now I have this flame icon next to my name. Nifty.

Ugh I am really wiped out.  I was on an art spree for a bit there, then real life got in the way and I haven't recovered.  Work is kicking my ass.  I get home and my brain is just fried.  oh well
